The third agreement in Don Ruiz's The Four agreements  is: Don't Make Assumptions. How many times have you found yourself making assumptions about a person, situation, or place just to find out that you were wrong? Even if you were partially correct there's an easier way to get to the truth then creating and believing a story in your head.
