Jonathan Coicou grew up in the Mid-Hudson SDA Church in Poughkeepsie, NY. He has a bachelor's degree in religious studies from Temple University in Philadelphia, and a masters degree in history education from Boston College. He has served in various capacities at the North Philadelphia, Shekina, Temple Salem and Brockton Temple Churches in Massachusetts. He has also served as the youth pastor of the Maranatha SDA Church in Queens, NY. He current teaches World History in the NYC public school system. He currently serves as the Northeastern Conference Young Adult Coordinator and also as the vice president for the NEC Franco-Haitian Youth Federation. He is currently married to the former Myriam Bazar and his highest pleasure is to introduce young people to Christ.
