Refusing to play along, the Iranian regime has not collapsed, and is retaliating by firing missiles upon US bases across the gulf.

After many decades of champing at the bit, the ardent hawks of Washington and Israel finally have their war with Iran.

So, what comes next?

Between a feckless American political class who rode into power off a MAGA movement explicitly promising 'no more wars', and a furious theocracy looking to avenge their martyred Ayatollah in an existential fight - this war really could go anywhere.
