In these perilous times there are people that perceive life as desperate and they may feel destitute, enough to take what is not theirs. They also will make bad decisions which effect those that are connected to them. This is selfish behavior, and the consequences of a bad decision will always affect others especially those in their family.
Here we see a selfish act that resulted in the devastation of an entire family. In the book of Joshua, Achan took the accursed things that God had forbit the children of Israel to take. Acting upon a decision can never be reversed, therefore we must be mindful of the outcome that may possibly change the course of ours lives and the lives of others.
