Today we took a look at an article that was published on the BBFC back in 2006 that discusses the rising popularity of anime at the time. It's quite a ride.
The article has been removed since the BBFC revamped their website a few years ago, if you want to read it yourself here's a link to it on the Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20170606100832/https://bbfc.co.uk/education-resources/education-news/drawing-comparisons-history-manga-and-classification
If by the time you're listening to this episode the snapshot doesn't work, just take the part of the link after the numbers and search it up on the Wayback Machine and you'll hopefully be able to find a functioning snapshot, there's quite a few.
New episodes release every Friday, 12pm UK time. (That could be GMT or BST depending on the time of year.)
Hosted by Rebel Notorious, Shaun, and Melina.
