I am sitting in a restaurant in a Majorcan town when someone from Fulham comes up to us and declares how amazing that of all the places in the world, we find ourselves here.  I would have loved to remind that particular person of the Law of Large Numbers that makes such occurrence so frequent.  Why are we always so surprised?  This podcast explains the maths behind the surprise.
