In this episode, Jared and Michael confront the uncomfortable truth many men and women living in porn and sexual addiction don’t want to face: we are not nearly as good at hiding it as we think. While we convince ourselves we’ve mastered secrecy and that we have everyone fooled, we are really just wearing a mask called Counterfeit. We can try to maintain the illusion, but what we think is control is actually captivity. When we step into the light, we trade counterfeit peace for real freedom. We exchange exhausting secrecy for restoring grace. The cross reminds us that we are fully seen and fully loved—and that’s a far better identity than any image we try to manufacture.
