Some great questions to ask: 

  • What is the overall fruit?
  • Are your critiques based out of fear?
  • Do your biblical and theological beliefs line up with what you’ve seen in and around your life? If not, your beliefs might be the issue.
  • Have you seen things with your own eyes, or are you basing your views on hearsay?
  • Does the charismatic movement make you uncomfortable? And if so, how would you respond if you were placed in the New Testament context?
  • Does your theology have room for “I don’t know”? If not, how big is your God?
