WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTT???? THREE COUNTRY ARTISTS (George Strait and Taylor Swift(Yes she's being counted as Country here!) IN ONE SEASON???? HOW CAN THIS BEEEEEEEEEEEEEE?????
Simple... It just happened that way! :) With 2 episodes left before the Season 2 finale, I decided to change it up a bit (But kinda sorta continuing the California vibes via Bakersfield) and dedicate this week's episode to another all-time great in Country Music and one who it to even greater heights. I am of course talking about Singer/Songwriter and HORRIBLY UNDERRATED Actor Dwight Yoakam! His music made the 'honky-tonk' sound hip again in the late 80s-early 90s and continued to be a force in Country and Americana who is still receiving critical acclaim and selling out shows in North America and around the world and "A Thousand Miles from Nowhere" in between. But what is his best work? Grab your "Guitars, Cadillacs, etc.", and tune in to find out! Also discussed: His connection to MTV, his friendships with Billy Bob Thornton and Vince Vaughn, and even a personal story or 2 from me.
