OG Sharieff spent 39 years incarcerated before finally returning home on August 16, 2025.
Raised between Brooklyn’s Fort Greene Projects and Harlem’s 140th Street and Convent Avenue, OG Sharieff grew up during a different era of New York City, surrounded by influential figures and a rapidly changing culture.
After serving nearly four decades on a murder and weapons case, he now faces the challenge of adjusting to a world that evolved without him.
At 71 years old, his focus is simple: stay on the right path, rebuild his life, and make the most of the freedom he waited 39 years to experience.
In this episode of Dog In The Yard, OG Sharieff shares his journey, lessons learned behind the wall, and the reality of coming home after nearly four decades in prison.
