Facebook ‘Dating’ Is Finally Rolling Out: The First Look From Testing
Facebook has begun public testing its online-dating service called ‘Dating’ in Colombia. The company announced the service back at the annual F8 conference in May this year. If all goes well, this service will soon be rolled out to other countries in the future. Dating is already active in Colombia where users aged 18 or more can sign up to create dating profiles for the online service. But the company won’t start showing matches until there is enough number of sign-ups.
Instagram may divide hashtags from captions to end overhashing
Geofenced sharing, Quiz stickers, Stories Highlight stickers and a separate interface for adding hashtags to posts are amongst a slew of new features Instagram has prototyped or is now testing. The last one could finally #cure #the #hashtag #madness that’s infected many of Instagram’s 1 billion users, causing them desperately to fill up their captions with tagged words that make the feed tough to read in hopes of scoring a few extra views or followers.
Amazon's 2018 Echo Show finally gets it right
When the original Echo Show debuted last year, plenty of people (including us) made fun of its chunky and bulky design. Well, Amazon must've taken those comments to heart, because the new Echo Show is decidedly much better looking. While the older Echo Show might've reminded us of mall kiosks, the newer Show looks a bit more like a smaller, cuter TV.
GoPro launches its first live-streaming camera
GoPro is launching its first camera capable of live streaming in an effort to woo investors and improve its performance during the holiday rush. The $399 Hero7 Black also features new stabilization technology, voice command capability and a new video format the company is calling TimeWarp, which compresses longer experiences into short, speeded-up videos.
