Ain't No Jimi on Guitar for sure, but his influence still stirs my Soul. Hopefully, 'The Hendrix in My Heart' is felt in this respectfully intended, Interpretive, laid-back 3 AM version of but one of many Gems from Seattle's Finest. Wore out a lot of vinyl grooves listening to his completely incomparable style. Amidst all of the searing, screaming, soaring guitar solos, also loved those Bluesy Slowburners and whispery, near-hypnotic vocals. Jimi felt he didn't possess a good singing voice. To me, he was among the most mesmerizing Rock Blues vocalists ever, and his singing always rolled enticingly just off the edge of his backwards strung Strat. This version of 'The Wind Cries Mary' is sketched in my own genuine way. RIP, Jimi Hendrix. Gone, but never forgotten!
