AT JUST 3ft tall and weighing only 15kg, Ganesh Baraiya is set to become the world’s shortest doctor. However, his route to success was far from straightforward. The son of a farmer in Gujarat, India Ganesh was initially denied the right to study medicine by the local government and the High Court. Undeterred, Ganesh and his family appealed that decision in the Supreme Court, who finally ordered Ganesh’s admission to the college. Upon graduating, Ganesh hopes to help people who cannot afford medical care.
