This week we begin a series of talks on the biblical book of Job. If you enjoy reading, you might like to read through that book, ideally arriving at chapter 17 by about 10th October. If not, don’t worry; the services will still make sense anyway.
Today we think about searching for truth. In all life’s ups and downs, how can we get closer and closer to truthful ways of living? Why did Job’s comforters get it so wrong in their attempts to bring solace to their friend? What can we learn from their experience? Are there old ways of looking at life that you might consider leaving behind?
As I write this it’s pouring with rain! I hope you are staying cosy at home even as the weather turns a bit.
Hearsall at Home is written and presented by Rev David Sutcliffe, with additional material this week from Cynthia Baker.
The readers were Sylvia & Roger Woodward and Cynthia Baker.
Music and songs by Martin Prue, Joan Cobb, Seb Farrell, Nick Leonard, Fran Pritchard and John Pettifer.
The written download was compiled by Jackie Pritchard and can be downloaded on this link.
Post Production was by Andy Thompson.
Incidental music by Zapsplat.com.
Hearsall at Home is brought to you by the members and friends of Hearsall Baptist Church, Coventry, UK City of Culture 2021.
