The Question
In August of this year, the four of us were privileged to speak to a group of spiritually hungry believers in Southern California at a conference called Infusion. This conference was designed for those who are searching for something outside of the religious institution, aka, organic church. We were tasked with answering a list of five questions posed to us by Milt Rodriguez. After seeing how the Lord used that time to minister to those saints who were there, we decided we would take the opportunity to record a conversation over each of the questions and post them here on the blog. We were tasked with answering these questions because we have been involved in body life/organic church life for over 3 and half years each, and we are now in California training to plant organic expressions of Jesus Christ.
So, the first question that we discuss here is:
What has your experience been having a Christian worker plant the church?
Again, we have all lived in, participated in, and experienced "organic church life" for over 3.5 years each. Our answers stem from that experience with Christ and His Body. We hope you are encouraged, challenged, blessed, and maybe even a little edutained (educated + entertained = early morning hours). :)
The Song
The song chosen to play before and after our conversation is "Quill" by The Last Bison. I found the song going through my son's music on his computer and fell in love with it and with the group. The lyrics are below:
When the ink meets quill
With love my letters are filled
Let us seal this love as the back
Of the envelope’s sealed with wax
We will run away
From those who’d lead us astray
Searching hard we will fully rely
On the words of the one crucified
We will run away
From those who lead us astray
Searching hard we will fully rely
On the grace of the one crucified
