The Question
This is a continuation of the conversation we started a few weeks ago. If you haven't yet listened to it, please do so by clicking here. In that episode, we broached the topic of what "organic church" is and/or isn't. Wesley ended that episode with another question:
Is This Possible Without a Worker?
Well, we tackle that potentially sticky topic here. Please understand, this recording is an edited version of a very candid conversation among 4 friends who are brothers and a sister in Christ. We are currently being trained to be church planters/workers. What you hear are our own thoughts, questions, and convictions from experiencing the Lord in 4+ years of "organic" body life.
We had great dialogue in the comments on Part 1 of this topic, and we hope to have more of the same here. Please feel free to ask any questions on anything about which you'd like a little more clarification.
The Song
The song chosen to play before and after our conversation is "All My Days" by Alexi Murdoch. This song is a beautiful illustration of someone asking a question(s) all their days to finally find the answer. Whether the writer intended for God to be the answer or not, that's what I see in this song. He found me, and now even breathing feels alright. The lyrics are below:
Well I have been searching all of my days
All of my days
Many a road, you know
I've been walking on
All of my days
And I've been trying to find
What's been in my mind
As the days keep turning into night
Well I have been quietly standing in the shade
All of my days
Watch the sky breaking on the promise that we made
All of this rain
And I've been trying to find
What's been in my mind
As the days keep turning into night
Well many a night I found myself with no friends standing near
All of my days
I cried aloud
I shook my hands
What am I doing here
All of these days
For I look around me
And my eyes confound me
And it's just too bright
As the days keep turning into night
Now I see clearly
It's you I'm looking for
All of my days
Soon I'll smile
I know I'll feel this loneliness no more
All of my days
For I look around me
And it seems you've found me
And it's coming into sight
As the days keep turning into night
As the days keep turning into night
And even breathing feels all right
Yes, even breathing feels all right
Now even breathing feels all right
It's even breathing
Feels all right
