The Question
In August of last year, four of us were privileged to speak to a group of spiritually hungry believers in Southern California at a conference called Infusion. This conference was designed for those who are searching for Jesus Christ outside of the religious institution. We were tasked with answering a list of five questions posed to us by Milt Rodriguez, because we have been involved in body life/organic church life for over four years each and are now in California training to plant organic expressions of Jesus Christ. After seeing how the Lord used that time to minister to those saints who were there, we decided we would take the opportunity to record a conversation over each of the questions and post them here on the blog. We answered the first question in our very first podcast. We've now been joined by three other saints with significant experience in this life, and we talked them into joining us for the next question.
So, the next question that we discuss here is:
What are some of your favorite/most memorable meetings?
We tweaked the question a little bit, and got almost two hours worth of conversation out of it. This is part one of that conversation. Again, we have all lived in, participated in, and experienced "organic church life" for more than four years each. Our answers stem from that experience with Christ and His Body. Please tell us some of your experiences in the comments; we'd love to hear about them. :)
The Song
Yup, we went there. The song chosen to play before and after our conversation is from the Oz Man himself, Ozzy Osbourne, "Crazy Train." The lyrics to the first verse (the only full verse played) are below:
All aboard! Hahaha
Crazy, but that's how it goes
Millions of people living as foes
Maybe it's not too late
To learn how to love, and forget how to hate
Mental wounds not healing
Life's a bitter shame
I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train
I'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train
Easter Eggs
I like easter eggs in movies and such, so I decided to drop in a couple of our more "organic" interactions during the end song. One of them is the live play by play of our featured image where you see me (R.C.) pointing at Dayo, Thomas, and Wes. :)
