4-08 Uncle Nearest 1884 with Drew Estate Herrera Estelí Brazilian

Listen Later

I have what I think is going to be a really great matchup. I am pairing Uncle Nearest 1884 Tennessee Whiskey with a Drew Estate Herrera Esteli Brazilian Maduro. I think you are not going to want to miss this pairing. The name 1884 commemorates the last year that Nearest Green is believed to have put his own whiskey into barrels before retiring from distilling. Today it's aged and bottled by Uncle Nearest, and curated by Victoria Eady Butler, a descendant of Nearest Green and the brand's Master Blender. There is a hitch though, Uncle Nearest contract distills in part of Tennessee Distillers Group facility but all whiskey is separately distilled, bottled, and aged by Uncle Nearest employees. Mash Bill: At least 51% Corn + Rye + Malted Barley Cask: New Charred White Oak Age: 4+ Years ABV: 46.5% Drew Estate Herrera Estelí Brazilian Maduro Country of Origin: Nicaragua Size: Robusto Grande 5.25x52 Filler: Nicaragua Binder: Connecticut Broadleaf Wrapper: Brazil Mata Fina Strength: FullVisual: a beautiful dark brown with minimal veining, tight nearly invisible seams, and a triple cap. CHEERS!
