Such a thin line at times between right and wrong, good and bad, truth and lies. If our dharma has meaning it must include redemption and reconciliation. This is the driving ethos of Aung San Suu Kyi and the entire peoples' movement for democracy in Myanmar. The oppressors get scared the closer they get to their hearts. I believe that evil is the fear of intimacy and violence is the defense mechanism to protect it. How easy it would be to want to kill the evil but we become evil in the process. Thus, nonviolent civil disobedience is the only wise response to elevate both the oppressor and the oppressed, and pray bring change, and soon.
