Armond is a Blackademic in his own right and one of my mentors who helps me plot and strategize ‘how to survive and thrive in academia without repressing joy’. Armond Towns is an assistant professor of Rhetoric and Communication Studies at the University of Richmond. His research interests include Black studies, media and communication philosophy, and political economy. When he is not reading and writing, he plays video games and drinks coffee.
