Alexander is a PhD student in the Tribology Group at Imperial College London. He graduated with a first-class Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2020, with a masters thesis on saxophone keywork ergonomics. Alexander's research focuses on optimising efficiency and reliability in electric vehicle gearboxes. His experimental work spans gearbox efficiency testing, measurement of EHD traction and film thickness at high speeds, and lubricant qualification test methods for scuffing and micropitting.
