Episode 4 looks at the darkside of Cerro Rico: the 8 million slave/miners who died to bring the incredible wealth of Cerro Rico to Spain and the world. In a re-writing of this episode from last year’s presentation, it also takes a controversial look at the current mining practices of the indigenous owned “cooperative mines” that mine Cerro Rico today.
