Throughout these 16 years of being a language learner and teacher, I have noticed a very common pattern that repeats itself among some students: they start off the journey of language learning feeling excited and motivated, then after a couple of months (sometimes even weeks!) they start losing their motivation and before they know it, they give up learning the language.

That's why I decided to talk about this matter and shed some light on it, hoping that my words could help somebody not to give up language learning. The reason is because I would like everyone to feel the same joy and satisfaction I feel when I'm able to understand and communicate in a foreign language I never thought I could. And that feeling comes after a lot of dedication, consistency and by not giving up.
