This weekend we continue our series called "IN not OF". We know as followers of Jesus we are called to live in this world but not to be of it. In John 15:19 Jesus reminds us that we are not of this world because He has called us out of it. As we follow Jesus we learn that we must live differently than everyone else because we belong to Him. This is because we are set apart for a holy purpose. Our lives need to reflect God in order for us to accomplish this holy purpose. We must become examples in the world of how God wants His people to live. This enables us to introduce people to Jesus when he opens up the opportunity.
In our current series we are studying from the book of Daniel. Daniel and three of his friends along with thousands of Jews are ripped out of their home land and taken to what is now southern Iraq. The Babylonian empire had become the dominant force on the earth. Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon conquered Judah and took Israel into exile. We have followed the story of these brave young men as they have fought to honor God with their lives. This week we see these young men get a test of their resolve. The test is a test of worship. Will they allow the king to control who or what they worship? Join us this weekend as we discover how they handle this test of worship.
