While preparing for Episode 4 of Media Buddhi A-Z, we discovered that the term ‘cancel culture’ is a favoured term for people who identify with issues on the right.
So in this episode then, we examine whether people like author J K Rowling and editor-politician M J Akbar are really cancelled. Because they still seem to have access to large platforms.
It turns out that cancellation is different when viewed through the lens of ‘punching up’ and ‘punching down’. Listen on for more on that.
