This week's gritty guest in our baseball series is Dr. Jesse Michel. He's the CEO of Mindset for Excellence, and he recently completed his fifth and final season as the Mental Skills Coordinator for the Houston Astros. During his time with the Astros, the organization won four AL West titles, three American League pennants, and one World Series championship. From 2017-2021, the Astros tied a Major League record by reaching the American League Championship Series in five straight seasons. In his role, Dr. Michel led the effort to develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive Mental Training Program for the organization.
