#4 Not Just Physical Education with Tom Wyldes

In this episode, we had a chat with Tom Wyldes, a PE Teacher at Wellington Secondary College and a soccer coach living in Melbourne.

Tom shared how he came across an exciting opportunity in the US which inspired him to pursue a career in teaching Physical Education to kids. The role of PE Teacher has evolved over the last couple of decades and Tom sheds light on how different it was when he was a kid in high school receiving PE classes. He spoke about the different aspects of the role, the challenges that he faced and how he managed to conduct online PE lessons due to the Covid restrictions in the last 2 years.

In the second half of the conversation, Tom, a diehard English Cricket fan shares his memories of the World Cup victories in the years 2010 and 2019. The various topics that we covered were the introduction of the Hundred format by ECB, recent controversies revolving around English Cricket, the future of English Cricket, predictions for the upcoming T20 World Cup in UAE and the Ashes series in Australia.
