Journal Notes: I see a rainbow banner with gold posts • What does it mean to be people of peace? • Jehu teaches me about peace. (Note: To understand how I’m using the term “gods” when referring to Baal and Asherah, read “The Unseen Realm” by Michael Heiser.)
🪶 Jeremiah 6:13 • They offer superficial treatments for my people’s mortal wound. They give assurances of peace when there is no peace.
🪶 2 Kings 9 • When Joram saw Jehu, he said, “Do you come in peace, Jehu?” And he answered, “What peace [can exist] as long as the fornications of your mother Jezebel and her sorceries are so many?”
🪶 Revelation 12 • And they overcame and conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, for they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death.
🪶 Colossians • Let the peace of the Anointed One rule in your hearts,
🪶 Ephesians 6 • Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes… Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit …
