This weekend we continue our journey towards Christmas as we celebrate the greatest gift ever given to the world. Our Christmas series is called The Gift and in it we are studying the gospel of John chapter 1.

We have learned that the gift given to us, is God in the flesh. That gift came to offer us new birth so that our relationship with God could be restored. The gift also came full of gracious truth. This week we continue in verses 29-34. We see in this passage that the gift who is God, came to take away our sin. The gift of forgiveness and restoration is of the greatest value because it has made it possible for us to be made right and set free from our guilt and shame.
