Welcome to this week’s episode of The Mindset Mentor Meets Podcast which hears Angela interviewing Ursula Henry, Operations Director at the Banking Standards Board.
About our guest
Ursula oozes authenticity and this has undoubtedly contributed to her career success. Though she tried her hand in many different industries in the very early stages of her career, she settled on Financial Services and forged a path that led her to directing operations at the Banking Standards Board, a membership body established in 2015 to promote good practices among banks and building societies.
Ursula has lots of experience to draw upon having worked for both Nationwide and the Royal Bank of Scotland in several challenging roles. She somehow finds the time to support the Barbara Speke Schools of Performing Arts in a role of governor and as you’ll here, she is a mental health first aider too.
About this show
Ursula shares the secrets of her success including how one or two of her personal experiences have contributed to the way she shows up both at work and home.
She generously shares her proudest moments and the lessons she has learnt along the way. Ursula tells us how she uses the mental health first aid training to help others as well as how she takes care of her own mental health.
She shares her ethos for being true to herself and being true to her values, particularly when things go wrong or don’t go her way.
Ursula’s role models were her parents and it was through watching her mother, who in the 80s was a bank manager, that she found the drive and motivation to want to succeed.
An uplifting and inspiring half hour.
