Happy Mental Health Awareness!
In light of this month and time in life, hope is needed in our homes- specifically with our kids. What do they need? What do we need as parents? What are we nurturing as they grow? How do we give now with their future & the future of the world in mind? Can we both do more than just survive the process lol? These are all valid questions! Let's chat about some key foundational pillars for parenting in and out of the COVID-19 phase of life.Â
This episode references some great sources and tips. Want to dig in more after the show? Check out the notes, links and info below! Nosh, swill & bliss, beauties (and gents :-).Â

What are some ways we can nurture our kids during quarantining?
One of the ways we can nurture our kids is to get in the "change game" with them. This may look like engaging the fun and facts of COVID-19 (historical world changer), with our child. Share facts only enough to inform, but find creative ways with your children to create drama/ skits in being world leaders and /or state and community leaders to act out their thoughts and feelings. Of course, you can utilize this as teaching time, emotional time, and learning time.
There are several life lessons to learn that some things we can control and some things we cannot control. Allow your children to express their emotions, while you demonstrate expressing your emotions appropriately. Overall, nurturing our kids is in the quality time spent, memories made, and growing their faith in Jesus Christ.Â
