Mac catches up with Matt Burke, who covered the 2004 UConn men's basketball team's national championship run, including its legendary showdown with Duke in the national semifinal.
Trailing Duke by seven points with around three minutes to go, Emeka Okafor overcame early foul trouble to lead the Huskies on an epic run down the stretch to stun the Blue Devils in the final minutes. Okafor gave UConn the lead for good with a second-chance basket with under a minute and then sealed the deal with the game-clinching free throw. UConn would go on to trounce Georgia Tech in the championship game to claim the program's second national title.
