In this episode we talk about the challenges that we often don't talk about, children! Often children come into the world carrying many of the hopes and dreams of a couple, what happens when the child has mental health diagnosis? Typically it involves a lot of focus on the child and (as is often the case with any child) a sense of a change in the relationship for the couple. We talk more about the isolation that can be felt when a child has experiences that don't line up with our "normal" expectations and the shame, blame or guilt a parent can feel that pulls us from that sense of we-ness. Join us to learn more about this and how we can still build our we-ness while providing the needed support and love to a child with different needs.
