As one of my role-models Russell Brunson said, avoid the techno-babbles people are unfamiliar with. As Yara Golden said, speak to your audience in a language you use to talk to your friends. In this episode, I talk about using your own comfortable language to talk to your audience. Big words do not reflect the level of your intelligence, but your passion and your message will. Anyone can memorize a list of big words if he or she wanted to, but adding niche-specific JARGONS (this was the word I was failing to recall) will cause your audience to easily lose attention. I used to add quotes and facts in my speeches, which I didn't even have a full understanding of, solely for the purpose of sounding smart, But when you don't talk in your own voice, it becomes difficult to talk from your heart and it becomes nothing more than memorizing a script. And no one wants to hear you re-state something you simply memorized. What is your voice? What is your language?
