Yolande Laroche is a Franco-Taiwanese Canadian artist based in Ottawa, ON. She reflects on her hyphenated identity, life and death, and themes of alienation in her debut solo project Orchidae. Yolande is a core member of art-rock band Pony Girl and ambient chamber project mal/aimé. We discuss her three ongoing musical projects, hyphenated cultural identity, and how singing covers can inspire you in difficult times.
