This past week we've been contemplating a serious move and decided to share. We live in Atlanta and there are definitely some positive things here, as there are in many cities. However, we've noticed a backwards evolution in the metro area that has inspired us to look for someplace else to call home. We've considered moving to either Canada or staying in the states and living in a more self sufficient manner out in the sticks, growing our own food, and not being as susceptible to the negative changes taking place in the city (as we see it). We lay out some of the specific reasons that led us to this decision. We also discuss how much a role gentrification is playing in the original vibe of the city seemingly dying before our very eyes.
