In this episode, I sit down with my friend Darrin for one of the most honest and vulnerable conversations I’ve ever had about race, privilege, and what it actually feels like to live inside two very different realities. This all started because I recently spent a weekend with a childhood friend from an Indigenous Norwegian community and realized how little I actually knew about her history. I felt ashamed that I’d never asked. And I noticed the same thing with Darrin: I love him, I care about him, but I’d never really asked about what it’s like to be Black in America, until now.
