In this episode we talk to Alyssa Bermudez who recently published Big Apple Diaries, a middle grade graphic novel that recounts the days when young Alyssa negotiated living in between her separated parents and all the usual middle school concerns, including a big crush on a boy. Then the 9/11 terrorist attacks happened changing everything. This comic diary in graphic novel form is a great coming of age story that Alyssa, now living in Tasmania, plans as the first of three graphic novels.
