Day 12: Fasting for Restoration

Joel 2:12,13

“Yet even now,” declares the LORD,

“return to me with all your heart,

with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;

and rend your hearts and not your garments.”

Return to the LORD your God,

for he is gracious and merciful,

slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love;

and he relents over disaster.

It was the Lord who commanded the Fasting Prayer. Now it is the Lord showing mercy and grace. He is promising restoration of all the losses. Can you think of any loss you incurred?

Material, Relational, Health, Emotional……

It could be because of enemy or because of worldly people or even because of your own decisions.

When you fast and pray….Lord will restore everything….peace, time, material…..everything.

The initial locust infestation…..was it with anger or was it with love???

Wasn’t it with Love!!!!

Joel 2:25 - I will restore to you the years

that the swarming locust has eaten,

the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter,

my great army, which I sent among you.
