Day 5: Fasting as weapon

Ps 35:13 - …. I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.

King David was better known as Warrior, Strategist, Hymn Writer…..all his life was spent around those. But in this Psalm, we see him as a humble believer who is fasting and praying against his powerful enemy. The enemy was using craftiness as his weapon.

David is using fasting prayer as his counter weapon.

If the weapons are physical….David would have faced them with valor. But these were deceits and schemes.

How many times we will face these kind of weapons. Many times people use deceit or traps for their gains at our expense.

Best way to counter them is with FASTING PRAYER

Ps 35:8 - Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.
