Day 6: Fasting Prayer as right response

Acts 27:21 - But after long abstinence (no food) Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.

Paul was being taken as prisoner to Rome. They were about to start on a voyage. Paul said that it would be safe for them to stay. But they wouldn’t listen and started voyage. They got struck in severe storm.

Sometimes, our opinions, no matter how sincere they were, will not be considered. People just ignore our ideas and opinions.

Have you come across such situations? If you are a parent, spouse or even a pastor, for sure, you will have this experience.

Right kind of response is FASTING PRAYER instead of getting discouraged or whining about it.

Paul fasted and prayed…..after few days…..even the captain of the ship listened what Paul said.

Acts 27:23-25

For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve, saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar; and indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you.’ Therefore take heart, men, for I believe God that it will be just as it was told me.
