Within the church, Lent is a season lasting 40 days that invites us to not only to revisit what Christ suffered for our sake, but to examine and refine ourselves.  God’s Word clearly acknowledges the fact that we will fall short.  And when we fall short, God's word teaches us to repent.

It's a word that can feel uncomfortable and full of judgement, but in fact it is a word that leads us with hope into freedom. Listen as Leigh McAlister shares how God deepened her understanding of repentance while visiting a prison in Central America.
