Having recently caught with these guys a little on a photo shoot AND anticipating my next video session with them soon, it's clear that Dogtown Studio has seamlessly woven themselves into the fabric of the Grand Rapids/broader Michigan music scene!
These longtime friends and creative collaborators built there reputation off a year of free work creating awesome videos and memorable sessions with so many artists of all styles, and since then they have gone on to be a go-to source for quality video shoots in and out of their studio space. We chat about working with limitations, balance the creative with the business end of things, and we even reflect about that first year and how it informed them as creative entrepreneurs and community members today!
