Rachel Lilienfeld joins the podcast as today's guest to discuss her experiences as a Fire Protection Engineer for Amazon Web Services. Rachel shares her story of how she started college as a mechanical engineer major and eventually transitioned to and graduated with a fire protection engineer degree. She also touches on her experience as a female engineer in the defense industry prior to infiltrating the tech industry and getting a job with Amazon. This episode has so many good tangible pieces of advice and covers a variety of topics; including channeling your emotional intelligence as a woman in STEM, how to 'find your people' in college, and the mental journey involved with passing the PE.
