Living conditions in the Samos refugee camp are atrocious, especially for children. „It’s continuous chaos“, says Ash Perrin who runs the ‚Cirque de Samos‘ there - a Flying Seagull Project. „So what we do is all about letting kids play and laugh and feel the comfort of being welcome“. A patch of land across the camp’s main entrance, a circus tent and devoted artists: that’s what it takes to grant kids, amidst despair and hopelessness, at least a few moments of childhood.
