the rules of the game (1939) / gamer (2009)

a canonical classic and a widely dismissed film which would go on to be embraced by the vulgar auteurism movement. movies about the games of society, the rules that are enforced, and the dividing line between those who abide and those who break free. or, just another "only connected in title" double feature, like we used to do. the invisible man (2020), you got to move, and piazza vittorio discussed in the middle segment.
