#40 Tom Bowden MUFON,  Tom has over 45 years of UFO research and investigative experience. He became interested in UFOs and parapsychology (especially J. B. Rhine's work) as a youth and joined the Aerial Phenomena Research Organization (a very active UFO investigation group from the 1950s to the 1980s) as a young adult after college. The intriguing Travis Walton abduction case of 1975 convinced him he wanted to be an investigator. Tom's early work with APRO led him to investigate some early abduction cases. After concentrating on work and family for a number of years and putting UFO investigation on the back burner, Tom has now renewed his interest and is more active than ever. He joined MUFON in 2001 and became Assistant and then State Director for Oregon in 2003.
