Welcome to Episode 41, where we are joined by Ali Khazanbeik. On paper you can say that Ali is a member of the Iranian National Golf Team, an American college athlete, and a graduate of an American university. However, that is only a small piece of the story. At the age of 5, his mother and father sold everything they had to flee Iran with Ali and his older brother. After making passage through 5-6 countries, they landed in Germany seeking asylum. They didn't speak the language, their Iranian education was no longer valid, and if they were sent home that would mean they were pushed back into the environment they left for fear of their safety. For 6 years they were contained in German refugee housing, waking up each day wondering if that was the day they would be sent back to Iran or provided safe admission into Germany. In this episode, Ali shares his story and much more. Learn More: 1stFloorConversations.comRate & Review: If you enjoy, please rate and review the podcast. That would mean the world to us.
