into the cold I trekked.
companion 2 years my junior.
no license.
not even a permit to drive his fancy car.
to blast the heater. stereo.
shotgun.
on the way to a day that a corpse would feel comfortable in.
perfect silence.
a man was there.
he jogged in circles as the wind blew out the flames.
i could feel the frostbite repelled by the radiation.
the field of dreams saved my life.
on the way, an acquaintance arrives and we tour the town.
not with any kind of plan or even sense of complete numbered ideals.
inside his territory, I entered the gateway which had so many times been purged.
not for months had I even seen her face.
she stood there. our bodies embraced. warmth beyond feeling.
passion entangled with clarity.
our first moment complete.
to the 2ns floor after our only conversation.
she finally learned words.
she had two weeks left, I was in the process of searching for a sweetheart.
i couldn't believe she asked if I was taken.
small talk indeed.
i stood there with a secure confusion.
1st time my eyes had truly saw thoughts. IN UNISON.
we stared.
her head dragged to the side.
on the verge.
my impulses, nerves, and urge.
repeated the same mistake that she reviewed and explained.
