Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia! Today we no longer see a crucified and dying Savior. No, the tomb is empty, and we hear the angels joyfully proclaim, “He is not here; He has risen!” Christ has overcome death! Our Savior is alive! With our Easter celebrations today, we conclude the larger celebration of our deliverance in Christ that started on Thursday evening and continued through Good Friday. Rejoice! Sins are forgiven! Guilt is gone! Our relationship with God has now been made right. The solution to our grief, sadness, doubt, uncertainty, fear, and loneliness is found in the empty tomb. Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!
The Bible reading for this message is John 20:1-18.
